The Illiana Misfits Rugby Club was formed in May of 2003 by William Rolle and Tony Chapa.
The Illiana Misfits are a member of the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union (CARFU), the Midwest Rugby Football Union and USA Rugby.
The goal of the Illiana Misfits is to offer the sport of rugby to the Northwest Indiana and Southern Chicago areas. Practices and games are held at Riverside Park in Hammond, IN (Near the junction of I-80/94 and Calumet Ave.)
